It Has Begun…
April 8, 2008
What has? The beginning of the rest of my life and the enrichment of others! Wow..pretty deep beginning sentence huh? Well, when something has taken this long (5 years) to finally come around, you’re filled with a joy and excitement that is unmatched with any “word” to describe it. “Deep” doesn’t cut it.
Five years! It has really been that long! To a 6 six year old, that’s damn near a lifetime! Ha! But it has definately been worth it. Now, we’re not counting the chickens before they hatch or poppin’ bottles of red champagne, but we are definately identifying the new definition of “Working Hard” for Random Star Music (yes, this is something to celebrate when bringing a dream to fruition vs. chasing money).
Persistance is the variable between successful and unsuccessful people/individuals. It all boils down to “How bad do you want it?”. How far are you willing to go? How long are you willing to suffer/do without/hurt/work/loose sleep/be uncomfortable/be laughed at/be doubted/be called crazy/fail/learn from failures/smile when you wanna cry/keep moving foward when nothing seems to be happening/research/go without luxuries/read books, magazines, blogs/work 80-100 hours a week/work without a vacation/work without a break/keep having to tell your story/stick by your dream when it doesn’t seem to be working/sacrifice quality time/ponder, stress, meditate on an issue till you have it figured out? And that’s just the first 2 years, you have 3 more to go!
Many people read that list and say, ”We’ll I can do my business without going through all that”. Maybe you can, but for what I’m trying to accomplish in life, I can’t. Comfort levels in many people are NOT the same: some enjoy being an employee for 30k/year, 50k, 100k, etc; some like having a private practice that allows them to supply a better life for their spouse/significant other (since they work too much to enjoy it themselves); and then there are some who are comfortable working to achieve their 1st million and live a modest life thereafter. BUT…there are SOME who say, “You know what? I’m going to ride this thing so hard that the wheels fall off, then I’m gonna get out and PUSH!” Take a guess which one I am. Let’s just say the wheels have fallen off, I’m pushing, and going to start using scrap materials to make new wheels! Ha!
I’ve been through the ringer, the hard times, with plenty of sob stories. But the fact that Random Star Music is at an exciting turning point with the completion of the RandomStarMusic.com 2.0 Automation, we’ll have to save those stories for another post! We’ll depress you later, won’t celebrate yet, but the fun in strategizing “what’s to come” and “how to do it” is joy enough for me!
So after all that being said, I ask you…ride with me to the top, its FREE and I already have the transportation, even if I am “pushing” it there. =)
Exit the past of ”hope this works”, enter the future of ”it’s working”…stage right even!
